La statuette du Roi Liche de Sideshow bientôt livrée aux acheteurs !
Un peu moins d'un an après l'ouverture des précommandes, voilà que Sideshow Collectibles annonce la livraison prochaine des premiers exemplaires de la statuette Arthas - Le Roi Liche. Si tout se passe comme prévu, les envois auront lieu au tout d'ébut du mois de mars. Et même le 1er mars, jour de mon anniversaire dis donc (quelle belle coïncidence). On note tout de même un beau petit retard quand même puisqu'au départ, les livraisons devaient avoir lieu aux environs du mois d'octobre 2012.
Les 3000 exemplaires (il en reste un peu) sont vendus 349,99 dollars US/pièce, auxquels il faut ajouter les frais de port et de douane selon les pays. La statuette mesure 48,26 cm de haut pour 49,53 cm de profondeur et 50,80 cm de largeur. Elle pèse pas moins de 9,07 Kg ! La boîte qui l'accompagnera sera évidemment un poil plus grande et la masse totale sera d'un peu moins de 10 Kg.
Arthas Menethil, son of King Terenas Menethil II and heir to the throne, received training as a paladin under the expert tutelage of Uther the Lightbringer. He was inducted into the Knights of the Silver Hand at age 19, and quickly became a renowned warrior in the savage First War. However, his life would turn to darkness and corruption as he spearheads a battle against the unfathomable Plague of Undeath. Led by the dreadlord Mal'Ganis at the behest of the Lich King, the Scourge destroys the innocent, transforming them into an army of undead.
Obsessed with confronting Mal'Ganis and obtaining the Runeblade Frostmourne, Arthas gradually sacrifices soldiers and innocents alike, along with his loyalty to the Knights, his honor, and even his sanity. When he succeeds in capturing the sword, it is the Lich King himself who speaks to Arthas and commands the slaying of Mal'Ganis. Now a death knight, he leads the Scourge, an instrument of destruction and evil. After murdering his own father, Arthas does not step onto the throne he was born to, but instead takes the mantle of Lich King.
